About the conference

Objectives
The sharing and variations of Han Character is a unique feature among a number of Asian languages. Korean learns Hanja, Japanese learns Kanji, Chinese in Mainland China and Singapore learns simplified Hanzi while Chinese in Taiwan and Hong Kong learns traditional Hanzi. This Conference aims to bring together scholars, researchers and practitioners from different Asian countries to foster international knowledge exchanges and research collaborations on Han characters education and research. Building upon accomplishments and successes in the first five conferences, the seventh one will be held at Kaohsiung, Taiwan in early of January 2017.

  1. Han character education: including theoretical framework, teaching and learning materials, pedagogical strategies, information technology in Han character education; classical Chinese or literary Chinese and so on.
